New Ciara O’Donnell Photography website for 2018
Ciara O’Donnell Photography
Welcome back to Ciara O’Donnell Photography. 2018 brings a new photography website for me. Thank you to GHQ design for their lovely work and relentless commitment to getting it all off the ground at a very busy time of year. I am heading into my 6th year in as a wedding photographer in Kerry and looking forward to a another great year again. January was a busy month despite it being a time for “reflection’. I was shooting all over the county and in Dublin, Kildare and Tipperary too.
Downtime for Ciara O’Donnell Photography
A new year always brings some down time.Time to plan the year ahead, make changes and take stock of what’s important. I cannot believe how the business has grown over the last 2 years particularly. I have been as busy with commercial photography work as much as wedding photography which came as a bit of a surprise at the end of year accounts process. I am delighted to be able to flex some creative muscle on unique projects for publications all over Ireland. This as well as private family events locally in Kerry and everything possible in between. It is a great to be allowed to be so diverse. It keeps me on my toes and allows me to keep my style fresh. It’s always good to jump into a job with no time to plan and knock it out of the park. It’s a great confidence booster. Some of my personal project work can be seen below. This work was exhibited as part of the 2016 KFest Music & Arts Festival in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, an annual event held here in the Kingdom.
Ciara O Donnell during Awards Season
I am just back from the Irish Wedding Awards which was held in Dublin. This prestigous event had me in a category of photographers from all over Ireland but coming home without the title of Photographer of the Year. A real honour I must say to be nominated for a great accolade. It’s scary seeing my business beside others whose work I admire and whose ethos I aspire to.
Congratulations to the very deserving winners from Kerry including
- Maura Sheehy from Mauras Cottage Flowers for Florist of the Year South West
- Ballyseede Castle Hotel who won Wedding Boutique of the Year South West
- Kerry Cake Company for Cake Designer of the year South West
- Brush’n’Blush for Hair and MakeUp Salon of the Year South West
- Kerry Wedding Show by Radio Kerry Events ( Melanie O’Sullivan ) for Local Wedding Exhibition of the Year
You never benefit from staying in a safe place in business. I feel stretching and changing is always a good thing. So here’s to a great 2018 and even better pre booked 2019! Please have a look around my new website. Thanks
